Technical Training CurriculumWhat will the technical training curriculum consist of? The WBT course components allow self-paced training. Instruction is delivered over the Internet and is timely, specific, job-focused, and practical. WBT is designed to appeal to a broad range of learning styles — with information presented verbally, in writing, and through graphics and animation. WBT allows technicians to review sections of the course as many times as they need in order to feel confident with the content. Although a training time is indicated with each course component, technicians should learn at the pace they find most comfortable and best suited to their individual needs. In addition, technicians can log in to — and start and stop — the course on any computer, at their own convenience.
The hands-on, instructor-led courses will offer technicians the opportunity to participate in an instructor-facilitated, performance-based class. The tasks in each hands-on component are designed to be as close as possible to actual day-to-day situations that may be encountered in the service center environment.
Technicians will work in teams to perform preplanned tasks with assistance and guidance from the facilitator when needed. The facilitator doesn't lecture, but instead becomes a valuable resource to the technicians. This format allows technicians time to practice and refine diagnostic and repair skills.
