WHAT ARE THE TYPICAL CAUSES OF BRAKE SYSTEM WEAR-OUT?

Several factors can cause brake pads and rotors to get to the wear-out mode, including normal wear, severe use, rust degradation, multiple hydraulic problems and consumer neglect.

HOW DO YOU BEGIN TO DIAGNOSE THIS REPAIR?

The Ford Police Interceptor was in for routine preventative maintenance and, upon brake inspection, the front brake rotors showed hot spots and light metal fractures, indicating the pads were ready for replacement.

HOW DID THE INSTALLATION GO?

Before the installation, parts are compared and packaged installation instructions are read, then comes clean up and lubrication, and then installation of the proper-fitting DuraStop parts. Proper fit and finish are required here and these aftermarket products fit just like OE.
